If so, which language? Just wondering. I do British Sign Language, though not regularly as I don't know any deaf people; just thought it would be a useful skill and discovered it was a beautiful way to communicate.

In response to some answers (although u probably won't come back to the q, they're here for reference purposes) - yes, there are many sign languages and they are all actual languages. And I can't teach BSL in the UK as I am not deaf. Ironically I can't even take any higher levels at the moment because of a shortage of teachers.

I'm fluent in ASL. I'm deaf, but I did not learn sign until I went to college. I grew up in the oral education and went to hearing schools, so there wasn't a need for me to learn sign until I went to college that had a large number of deaf students, so I learnt it so I could communicate with most of them. Yes, I needed to! Because many of them sign as their main mode of communication while I spoke and did not know sign. So that's weird how two deaf people could not communicate, so I know exactly how hearing people feel! :P It was very easy for me to learn ASL. It is so logical and makes sense, that once I learn a sign, I never forget it. It took me about six months to learn it well.

I am fluent in ASL but I also know a great deal of BSL (which in comparison to ASL doesn't make senses between motion and word... but that's just me). I am surprised how many people in Britain whom are deaf and have no training in signing and the lack of knowledge to signing in the emergency field, schools, and in goverment.
Become a teacher they are much needed in Britain!

I do sign language.
I'm not all that good at it, but I think if more people were to learn it. Then we could all speak to one another regardless the language barrier. and we would have to pay more attention to the facial expressions that people make, which means more eye contact!

No I don't know any yet. I plan on taking ASL possible during my junior year in college.
Never hurts to have a second language under your belt.
