I have not had this procedure.....so I cannot tell you about the procedure. I can however, tell you that a number of things can cause the hymen to break or stretch. Using tampons, or inserting things into the vagina can tear or break it...but so can some sports activities or trauma (like falling on a cross bar of a bicycle). To get more information about the procedure, you can do an internet search on hymenoplasty. Also, sites like ivillage.com, webmd.com, or ask.com can give you more information about the hymen and why it may not break ("pop")and their may not be bleeding the first time you have sex. I hope this helps. You may also want to contact a Planned parenthood or other facility that deals with womens sexual health for information and support. I wish you the best of luck.

I have never had it done, no... But I read that the cost is around $2500 - $4500.. But, that would also depend on your location. Surgeons tend to charge slightly different amounts depending on their location.
A hymen can break while climbing fences, playing sports, gymnastics, and definitely by using tampons. There are many ways a hymen can break. Some girls are even born without a hymen!
Here are some sites with some useful information on the procedure:
http://www.lasertreatments.com/hymenopla...
http://www.obgyn.net/displayppt.asp?page...

I hope you find some of this to be informative. :)

it costs ALOT i mean like 2,000 to 5,000 i think. the hymen can break from many different things, riding your bike, sports, gymnastics, falling, using a tampon....the list goes on. you should really talk abt this with your man. even go to a health professional, not all women will bleed durring 1st intercourse. the bleeding of the hymen is absolutaly no way of telling if a women is a virgin or not. if it is really that important to you, go to your health center and get checked out, see if your hymen is still intact and what the probobilities are of you bleeding.
i hope this helped you, best of luck.

I read that a few decades ago, women would hide small vials of chicken blood and pour it on the sheets after having sex on their wedding night. As long as a husband will go along with it, that seems like a good method.
