Stretch marks can happen even to thin people, they happen when u gain weight rapidly and ur skin expands to fast or even when u work out hard and the muscle grows too fast; this makes the skin stretch, they start by being reddish marks when theyre still new and turn into silvery white marks, usually around the butt, thighs and tummy, the best way to prevent them is constantly moisturise ur skin to gain elasticity and they can start from about age 11 or 12, when puberty starts kicking in. After u have them there is no chance of getting rid of them for good.

When you start getting stretch marks really depends on your body type and the type of lifestyle and eating habits that you have. If you are naturally chubby, but start losing weight, you might start seeing them pretty soon. The same goes for if you are full-bodied, but lose weight. And pregnancy and obesity of course.

People get them because as you accumulate flab, the skin stretches as more and more fatty tissues are pushed beneath your skin due to poor circulation. When the fat lessens, the skin may not be able to retract to its natural position and starts to sag. Its sort of like when you take a rubber band and stretch it as far as it goes without snapping it. When you let go, you notice that it isn't as small anymore and not as elastic either.

You can get rid of stretch marks using firming lotions that increase circulation and push the fat back in, as well as enhancing the skins natural elasticity. You can also ask your doctor for more possible treatments.

Stretch marks are the marks that show up when your skin unexpectedly stretches further than is comfortable, or when it stretches very fast. This is most common in puberty, obesity, and pregnancy. When some girls start developing at puberty, they will get stretch marks because their hips and breasts are all of a sudden getting much bigger, much quicker. It's genetic. You can't get rid of them, although you can get to the point that they're almost invisible.

Stretch marks come when you grow or gain a lot of weight fast and the skin doesn't have time to grow with it and that's when it stretches. You can get them during your growth spurt maybe in your teen years if that's when you grow the most. I never got them until i had my first son. It just depends on your own genes.

I couldn't tell you what they are are, But the ones i have are from when i was pregnant, It was cause from the stretching of your skin, and this leaves marks behind as it has stretched so far, and after birth, if you use lots of lotion and coco butter it might not happen because you kept your skin moist... in my case i did this but i still have little ones! i got my first one on my legs when i was 15 i gained weight and lost weight wasn't much either and i think you get them earlier than this.. Also from working out some guys have them from where they worked out alot and got big muscles and quit for a big period of time...

Another way is if someone is over weight and loose weight very fast.,you can get them at any age, and they happen when the skin is streched out for a long period of time and then when they are suddenly put back into normal shape, there are marks where the skin was streched.

You can also get stretch marks from building muscle quickly, breasts being heavy and not enough support, enlargement of breasts. I would say they would appear, other than for obesity, any time after a girl would hit puberty.

Because your skin can only stretch so far on its own. Then it has to stretch certain areas a little more. I started getting them on my hips when I was like 13 when my body started developing.
