How old are you? Hymen can be broken many different ways but one famous way is through sex. Sex doesn't necessarily mean that you hymen will be completely broken. Women have been known to have it removed even after marriage. If you need your hymen removed before you ever have sex (which wouldn't make sense for you right now), talk to your doctor about it before proceeding to another person for more questions. A tampon can break or stretch out the hymen depending on your body. Certain sport activities can also break your hymen. Whatever the reasons, be proud that you aren't having sex yet. Stick to your sports and keep your head clear on the subject about sex. Because soon enough, that topic will come again in a whirlwind where you will have to make a decision to either have it now or wait till marriage. I would recommend waiting until marriage.

I'm not very familiar with the subject but I googled it and the cost of having hymenoplasty done will cost roughly $3500 and...
Some of the non-sexual ways in which a hymen will tear are:
1. Through an accident or injury.
2. Horseback riding, bicycling, high jumping, gymnastics or similar sports.
3. Insertion of finger or instrument by doctor during pelvic exam.
4. Tampon insertion.
etc..

Never had a hymenoplasty. But I do know your hymen can break for several reasons including playing sports, horseback riding, etc. Also, I think tampons can break it as well. It is not ONLY broken by a man's penis, other things can break it as well.

.I have never had it done, no... But I read that the cost is around $2500 - $4500.. But, that would also depend on your location. Surgeons tend to charge slightly different amounts depending on their location.
A hymen can break while climbing fences, playing sports, gymnastics, and definitely by using tampons. There are many ways a hymen can break. Some girls are even born without a hymen!
Here are some sites with some useful information on the procedure:

I hope you find some of this to be informative. :)

A tampon can break the hymen along with any other type of penetration. It does not necessarily mean that it is broken though. Do you know for sure that your hymen is broken? If you don't go to your OB/GYN or the health department and ask to be checked. They can tell you whether it is still intact or not. The cost is somewhere around $5000.

No, I haven't, but simply wearing a tampon, or even riding a bike, can break the hymen.
I'd think very seriously about having any kind of surgery - it's not always possible to tell whether the hymen is intact during first sex anyway, because it's so sheer. Not everybody bleeds on their first time, and anyone who tells you anything different is speaking from a point of ignorance.
Go gently with yourself.

I am male. That really isn't an issue for most men. In a serious relationship, trust is more important than physiology. If your future husband does not trust you, then neither of you will be happy without regard to the surgery.
If you choose to have the surgery, don't be afraid to ask the doctor questions. In such a case, you have a right to know and a right to ask questions. Put another way, he works for you and your best interests or he should not work at all. Get another doctor if he won't answer your questions.

A hymen can break from tampon insertion, horseback riding, or vigorous sporting activity.
Why are you asking about a hymenoplasty? I mean...why do you feel you need that done?

if you use tampones its almost certain it is brocken it is likely to nreak while playing sports or jumping around even as a child in the past women were vertualy house bound so it was less likely to break but nopw I would think its more likly to be brosken than intoact at 16 with out any sexual contact

I've never had hymenoplasty, but as far as I know you can loose your hymen by using tampons, but not from masturbating while using one. And yes, loosing it can hurt, but not for long.
