Nedved to retire after friendly against Serbia
PRAGUE, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved said on Tuesday that he will end his national team career after Wednesday's international friendly against Serbia, to concentrate on his committments at Juventus.
'It isn't easy for me, I don't have any health problems that are forcing this. It is because of a lot of other reasons, and I would like to give other younger players a chance. Wednesday's match will be my last for the national team,' he told reporters.

Yes he is retiring, the whole generation of great player is retiring, he is one of the best players in the world and he is as good as Zidane and Figo was!!!!! He was the key player in Juventus and It's a shame that Czechs had problem whit the strikers in WC, so that he went home to early!!!!

I'm a Juventina, and I love Nedved, he's a class act, he's stepping aside not because he can't make the team but because he wants to give a younger player that opportunity. Too bad most athletes are not that unselfish.

awww...... he is! I'm gonna miss him. But he's only retiring from National.....right? He is sooooo cute!!!! That's why I'm gonna miss him. It's ok. I can see him when he plays for Juventus! Yay!!
