I've heard that you need to take Calculus to succeed in AP Physics. I am taking Pre-Calculus Pre-AP right now. Would that work?

You should probably take Calculus AP before or during the time when you take AP Physics. If you were simply taking Physics (Pre-AP or regular) then you could take Pre-Calculus and be fine. None of the schools I went to allowed us to take AP Physics until we were a senior or until we had taken Calculus. I would suggest taking AP Chemistry unless you would like to major in a field in College that puts much emphasis on Physics (engineering, some medical branches, etc.). Make sure to go to your school counselor and ask them what would be best.

If its AP Physics C then yeah, drop it but if its AP Physics B dont drop it. Have you read the syllabus and talked to the teacher about it? If you're not that good at math you wouldnt wanna be taking something calculus-based.

you have heard top, my buddy. You do decide for Calculus and Physics together, exceedingly no rely if it is AP in intense college. in certainty, there are various intense faculties that may not permit you're taking one with out the different and faculties require Calculus as a prerequisite to Physics. while you're taking AP Physics, you would be taking AP Calculus (or have already taken it). i do no longer comprehend of each and every physique who succeded in Physics with out Calculus. you are able to attempt Calculus with out Physics too besides the undeniable fact that it is going to likely be very no longer person-friendly. you are able to undergo in techniques that Calculus is the gadget for Physics. Newton in specific improved (and proved the familiar theorem of Calculus) via fact he discover some issues in Physics which he could no longer remedy (including calculating the escape velocity from Earth). So he set aside Physics and spend two decades on coming up Calculus. So, how are you able to do one with out the different? They have been meant for one greater. the 1st time I took calculus, which became with out physics, I have been given a C. Then I took them the two together and aced them the two. -------------------- P.S. AP Physics is unquestionably no longer algebra base. it is in specific Calculus based.
