They dont hurt at all, u barely feel a pinch, ive had mine for 2 yrs and a half, ive had no infections whatsoever, as long as u keep it clean and take care of it properly for the first 6 months by cleaning it with saline solution once in the morning and once at night ull be fine.

I had a belly piercing on 06-24-2006 and it did not hurt to have it done. It felt more like pressure and then a sting when the needle went in, but no real pain. You do have to baby it though. Twice daily washing with antibacterial soap (for six weeks then once a day for a year). The first three days you use the antibiotic cream the people give you, but they specifically state to not use it more than three days because the body can cause a worse infection if it does get infected. So far, I've had a little oozing, but I just keep it clean. I was also told that navel piercings take a full year to entirely heal. Also, make sure you go to a board certified place. If you donate blood they need to know where you got the piercing.

why are you gonna get a belly piercings cause if you do then your probably wasting ur time....
cause if you think its cool then your pretty weird

maybe not too much at first. but way too many of my friends have had them infected and cry because of that pain. ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
