He teases me a lot

Examples:
He does the opposite of everything i say
He makes fun of me
He calles me fat once when he knows im not
He pretends he doesnt enjoy my company when its so obvious that he does
He pretends im not funny when i make him laugh all the time
He patronises me because im (only) a year and a half younger than him

People say that he likes me, but over the past 8 months i have known him, he has told me that he's been interested in loads of other "fit" girls, which he loves telling me about

So, why is he like that with me, is it something about me? Maybe the way i behave...or maybe, oh i dont know, why does he act like that around me? I asked him whether he talks to other girls like this and he said no...so why?

I'd like to have a more sincere relationship with him.

To the guys: in what situation would you act like that?

Unfortunately he just a typical man.Don't get sucked in by these mind games,he is working off the old male chauvinist ideal of treat them mean and keep them keen.
A lot of girls think men are just playful when they do this but believe me they are much more evil and calculating than many women believe.
A relationship should be fun, especially in the first flirtation stage,so I would say, steer clear of this guy and let him play his mind games elsewhere.
Be happy !

He's obviously very insecure and quite possibly frightened of admitting to himself that he may like you a lot.

Whatever you do he's going to be high maintenance.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that he'll change if you have a relationship with him.

If he acts like this when he's possibly trying to market himself to you why on earth would he change once he's got you ?

Why would you want to have a more sincere relationship with someone like this ?

You're worth more than that so pick someone who appreciates you for who you are and doesn't have problems in letting you know that.

I think he likes you. People (boys especially!) do everythin opposite to what the girl wants, if he likes her!

I think hes telling you about all the other girl he is interested in, to make you jealous and point out what you are 'loosing out' on! He probably hopes that by being jealous of him you will show an interest and then he can say its you who liked him in the first place and not him liking u! (basically turning the table!!)

Regarding the others, he probably follows the rule "treat em mean to keep em keen"!!

you need to remember something. Boys are dumb. I'm not trying to put them down, just stating a fact. It sounds like this guy likes you. He teases you, he talks about other girls... It's a weird way for him to see if you like him back. If you want more of a relationship, bite the bullet and ask him out. Worse he can say is no. But then you're free to look elsewhere.

I think he likes you. I was in the similar situation. He never admit it that he did, till I met my husband. When me and my husband started to date. "MY FRIEND" told me that he liked me and was afraid to tell me because He didn't want to lose the friendship we had if things didn't work out. The sad part is, I liked him too. And because neither of us did anything about it, we will never know what might of happen. But Now I'm married, I love my husband very much and I'm kind of thankful that me and my "FRIEND" never got to the point of boyfriend and girlfriend, because if we did I would have never met my husband.

It is all up to you right now, if you want things go more than just friend ship you need to make a first move, because when he does it will be too late.

Get out while you can!!! Before there are kids involved!! This guy is obvisiouly using you for something. Are you supporting him? Giving him somewhere to live for free, giving up sex when you really don't want too?? If you are young, you have the advantage, there are many other fish in the sea!

Am a girlie but gonna answer anyway, you know what he sounds like too much hard work. Though if you wanna try, be honest with him and say you know what sometimes i think that you are going to be nice and you are nasty, sometimes some people dont even realise they are doing it.

I think it's like-wise I think you like him and he likes you so why don't you just get it over with and make the first move because You know he isn't going to maybe he does that because he really doesn't know how to act to the fact that he likes you!
