Yes, I take the time to read what I've written & do use the spell check. I agree w/ you, some of the spelling & punctuation here is just awful!

I don't use check spelling sometimes because I am all burnt out by the time I start rechecking so I leave it as it is as long as it is understandable then it will be just that--this is not a publishing site so I just write as free a bird and move on to the next topic that interests me. Funny I just used the check spelling and it did not really correct to much maybe a word but not the punctations so to me it is worthless for me but maybe good and useful for some.

It's not a term paper or a professional letter to a corporate office, it's yahoo.
Even though I do check my spelling when necessary, I still write words by abbreviating or using slang.
Whats frustrating is the questions these people asks that makes no sense at all.

I never use spell checker. I know most of my words, but after my Keyboarding classes ended at school, and I was in a hurry to type, I got tons and tons of litle typos. If not, I'm usually fine. In class, I get better than most people for punctuation and mechanics. I mean my class is a TaG class, so you'd expect something out of that.
Also, in general, most spell checkers only do spelling and not grammar. SO it'll mix up Their and they're a lot. You know what I mean?

I know what you mean, but I believe the reason why they don't have punctuation is because they are only worried about typing down their thoughts and opinions to your questions. There are some people though that are just plain ignorant and have no clue how to use the English language....have a great day hope this answer cheered you up :)

Do you really believe that is any of your darn business? But for the record....yes I do! However since I happen to possess superior writting skills I don't often need Check Spell! And while you're on here doing all this reading, do you actually have a life? If not I'd suggest you get one! lol

I read and edit everything I write. How you present yourself in writing can say a lot about you. I have too much pride to be sloppy and lazy.
I also never use the spell check. When in doubt, I grab my dictionary right beside the computer. The old way makes me remember better. I never have to look it up twice. (Well, maybe sometimes)

I usually reread what I have written and I know how to spell so I don't use spell checker but I know what you are talking about. You have to know that a lot of people on this site are just kids and I suppose some are adults and illiterate or just never learned how to spell or use the english language correctly.

I do use the spell check because I'm dyslexic so my spelling is appalling. As for the grammar and punctuation I do try to get this right.
Sorry if I have upset you in any way but I really do try and I will l try harder in the future.
