I am currently 5 days past ovulation, and want to know when I can test. What is the soonest you've heard of someone getting a positive? Thanks!

It takes up to 8 days for egg to implant after ovulation, when baby implants it is when your body starts producing hcg which is the hormone that a pregnancy test detects, I tested positive 8 days after implantation which was about 4 days before my missed period BUT I used a very particular test that can detect 20 units of HCG www.early-pregnancy-tests.com, the tests are very affordable like .69 cents a piece, check their website. People will tell you that you can get a positive result 5 days before your period with some of the early response tests, but I really don't know anyone that has. I wouldn't waste my money until a day or two after a missed period. Good luck!

There is a test First Response that you can test 3-4 days before your period is due...other than that you have to wait until your period comes

Try EPT or First response for home pregnancy tests they are the most accurate at detecting the hormones early.

some of them let you test up to 3-5 days before you are supposed to start your period, you just have to read the boxes

I know is hard and you might be very anxious about finding out. But it is better to wait until the day your period is supposed to come. Good luck!

three weeks after having unprotected sex...as this is roughly how long it will take for the hormone levels to show up on the test... or after u miss ur first period!!. xx xx
