as long as u are in control of urself and ur actions, and are not harming yourself or others, nothing is "against" God's "wishes". however, if drugs alter you state of mind, and you end up doing things u don't remember, etc, u are not in control. so anything in excess is bad for you, even if it's just eating too much, or depending on alcohol, etc etc.

there is no specific scripture that says its not, in ancient times people drank, smoked, etc. just like they do now....the only scripture that addresses vices like that is this one 'do not be drunk with wine but be filled with the holy spirit'....now that being said it just means don't let these vices become more important than anything else....a good rule of thumb is an old latin verse i think is very helpful with most things in life...it goes 'ne quid nimis' which means 'all things in moderation', works for me !

The view is that God doesn't like you to harm yourself. Drugs, even marijuana, are bad for you. I dare say the carefree nature people put toward marijuana makes it worse than most of them, but thats just my own personal rant.
