YOU DON'T KNOW SHlT ABOUT BASKETBALL THEN. He wasn't over hyped because he was playing 30 seconds a game. That is the most dumb@ss thing I've heard any1 say. People said he was good because at the age of 15 he was playing against ppl 2 his age in a professional league and owning them. Please name one other person who went professional at the age of 15. And then you say "if milic was a good defensive player he would be having playing time!!". That's the second most dumb@ss thing that I've heard anyone say. HE PLAYED FOR DETROIT... their all about defense. Ben Wallace (who was the starter in case you didn't know) won Defensive player of the year how many times??? And then Factor in Antonio McDyess, Rasheed Wallace and Larry Brown. That means if your a rookie (no matter who you are you could be better than Jordan) you won't be playing. Then you say "so u ppl r stupid if u still say milic over Anthony now!" That's the Third most retarded thing I've heard anyone say. I'd pick Darko (and by the way it's Milicic not milic) over Carmelo ANY DAY. I'd pick him over Wade and Bosh. And whoever would wanna pick Carmelo over Darko is just Ignorant and knows cr@p about the sport. And when you say Darko's a loser in the NBA then you don't even watch the NBA. Darko Just turned 21 a month ago, he's got years and years ahead of him. Not only that but after he was traded to Orlando, Orlando was considered one of the hottest teams in the NBA. He averaged 20 min a game there great shot blocker, he can shot 20 ft jumpers, a beast in the paint, great at getting the ball where it needs to be... (I could go on all day). Darko is considered the core player of the Serbian national team for FIBA. When he's OWNING everyone this season I know that you'll jump on the bandwagon.

First of all, if your going to hate on someone, spell their name right. Second of all, Darko was not a bust. You have to view the options the Pistons had. They had on the rise, young, small forward Tayshaun Prince. They didnt NEED Carmello. They needed a big man. When you just finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference, and you have the #2 pick in the draft, you can afford to gamble, and so they did. They took Darko with the #2 pick, hoping for him to develop into a Dirk Nowitzki type player. Later that year the Pistons traded for Rasheed Wallace. Any chance that Darko had to get some playing time was virtually gone.
Darko Milicic was recently traded to the Orlando Magic. I didnt want to see him go (I am a Pistons fan). However I am happy to see him thrive when given the chance. The Pistons also regret letting Darko go, as the only reason we traded him was to resign Ben Wallace. So we lost our franchise center, and our future center in the same year. Darko has proven when given the chance, he can produce. His numbers in Orlando are pretty good considering he hasnt played much. Give him 1 more year to develop and he could become a top 15 center in the league.
Stop hating on Darko. Even if the Pistons had choosen not to select Milicic, they would have chosen Chris Bosh, not Carmello Anthony.

When he played for the Magic last season, Milicic averaged almost 3 blocks per game and he was sinking his outside shot. He has a lot of talent that has gone untouched because of the frontcourt that the Pistons had. I wouldnt make a decision on whether he was a bust or not until he has actually played on a team that needs him. So if he plays good for Orlando..like 12 points per game, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks per game, I would not call that a bust. But you have to give him a few years of playing.

you are an idiot. milicic was the right choice for the pistons. if we would have taken anybody else, they also wouldnt have done anything in detroit, we didnt need anybody big. milicic was supposed to be really good, but he had to come off the bench behind a few others. he is doing well in orlando and its sad that he had to go. i am a pistons fan, and now i wish we had him back now that big ben is gone. i would of also of liked bosh, but milicic isnt a bust, just give him a few more years to develop, he is still a young guy and has potential.

Honestly I really think that Darko Millic is not a bust. He is quite a talented players.
The really TRUE LOSER is LARRY BROWN who is the ex-coach of the Detriot Piston. He is well known for not giving opportunity for the rookies no matter how great you are. That's why Darko didn't get too much performance at Piston.
After he had been traded to the Magic, his brillant talent shown up already. His strict defence really get work. You can checked that he always get 1 block shot at least per game. All his stat had a great improvement.
All in all, I hope you know who is the real loser. It is Larry Brown, not Darko Millic

Yeah, Carmelo was a better pick, hands down. But I wonder if Darko would be somewhat better if he hadn't had a coach in Brown who doesn't give rookies the time of day, or if Brown just ignored him because he thought he had no potential?

He just wasnt given a chance early in his career like D-wade or James or 'Melo. Who knows what he would have done if given the chance those guys got. The Pistons just had too much talent that he didnt get to play.
