Most vitamins and supplements are best taken with or after eating. It is good to divide supplements and vitamins into several doses. the body can only absorb so much at one time. Iron should not be taken at the same time as vitamin E because it can destroy the vitamin E. Separate them by several hours at least. Most supplements will tell you if you should take them on an empty stomach. Chek the label.

Most Vitamins and Supplements, as well as medications should be taken on an empty stomach. It does allow for better absorption, since it will not mix in with food and just be eliminated without being absorbed. The only time you should take with food, is if it says to on the bottle, cause they know already that it does cause upset stomachs when taken without food. Also, you should take with food if it does cause you to get an upset stomach. Only you will know for sure, since everyone is different.

All supplements need to be taken with food, even if it is just a small amount of food. If taken on an empty stomach, it will just whistle right through your body without any absorption, any nutritionist or herbalist will tell you that. I work with Dr. Earl Mindell who wrote the Vitamin Bible , he is a Pharmacist, Nutritionist and Master Herbalist.

With a full stomach. If you take them on a empty stomach, your body does not have as much time to absorb all the nutrients.
