If you are putting it in a different PC, make sure you check the jumper settings and set it to MASTER / SLAVE / or CS according to what your main HD is set for.

If you had Windows XP on the old PC, you will most likely have to TAKE OWNERSHIP of the hard drive, or folders in it, before you can see them. To find out how, do a search on the internet on how to take ownership of files/folders from within XP.

That's all I can think of, unless perhaps the old HD had crashed too.

Good luck!

Since you SAID "BIOS doesn't recognize it anymore...and even with this HDD on it doesn't recognize my master.. but after I remove it, master works "

It SOUNDs like you may have the ribbon cable "backwards" on the 'crashed hard drive'. The stated symptoms are a CLASSIC example of what happen IF you connect the cable backwards!

If the bios (the very first thing that comes up on the screen when you turn it on) doesn't recognise it you've got no chance. You could pay to get the data recovered but that costs a lot. Invest in a DVD writer if you haven't already and back up important stuff occasionally.

Do you've yet another pc or are you able to employ a pal's pc? if so, upload your not person-friendly force to the different pc and make it a secondary (or slave) force. you'll then be able to replica your records onto the different not person-friendly force or onto DVDs.

Well, good luck with that. I wouldn't like to be in your position. Anyway, there are recovery utilities. Check the web.
