Support of the breasts is important as it contributes to the reduction of the risk of breast cancer. However it is not advisable to wear a boned bra for bed as you cannot control it if it digs into you, thus risking injuring your limphnodes, which causes a mutation of cells thus cancer...If you want to wear a bra for bed wear a support sports bra with no bones. This will also increase your blood supply which is a good thing as oxygen heals any damage that boned bras do in the day maintaining your breasts health. That is not to say boned bras are bad their not, just try not to wear them for long continuing lenghts at a time. If you wear a bra every day, but not of a night this will have no impact upon whether your breasts sag or not, as gravity is affecting them in a different way unless you sleep standing up, for it is gravities pressure downwards and their weight that makes them sag, there not exactly swinging about when you sleep as your actually quite still

Acctually it is procven in pre-teens and in pregnat women if you wear a bra when you sleep when you get in to your 20+ your breasts will be more perky . .

My old sugestion is wear a cotton bra that is a little lose or comfortable to you cause you will be sleaping it in. Do not wear a sports bra that will only smush and press down on them. Make it an underwire : )

not usually but it is for my comfort. if it is more comfortable for you to sleep with a bra on then do it and if it isnt dont wear one. the only thing is that sometimes when i dont have any support my boobs hurt when i wake up. i wear a bra but only the most comfotable at night. better not to wear an underwire bra at night because they can hurt

Unless you yourself can come up with a purpose for wearing one while you sleep, there really isn't any benefit to doing so. If anything, wearing a bra at night could destabilize your circulation, as it's rather constraining. I would recommend not wearing one.

i find it really uncomfortable. restricting my sleep. also think i read somewhere that it's actually better to take it off because if you always have a bra on you're not strenghtening the muscles enough, so should only wear it during the day

Ladies I've read your answers for two reasons a) just to see what the answers would be and b) to answer and get to the 1400 point mark. Hurrah!! I'm flabbergasted, though, and the lass who posed the question must be also. You seem to have given her every possible answer and every conceivable reason. Surely the correct answer must have been given for both medical purposes and physical purposes by now. No! then I'll just sign off and return to being the usual "stupid man"!!
