My wife is pregnant, 33 weeks. She just told me she was fine going to work this AM. She was sitting for most of the day. Now she almost falls to her knees when she tries to stand. Describes a sharp pain(abdominal) on her right side. Has anyone ever heard of this?? Thanks in advance for your input

Does she still have her appendix? Get to MD ASAP. You do not want a ruptured appendix especially if she's pregnant. The infection could affect the baby if the appendix ruptures. God speed and may all be well.

it's most likely ligament strain.
she is growing and stretching those ligaments and muscles and they are holding up more wieght than they used to.

that is most likely what it is....but not a guarantee...so take her to the hospital or call the OB's office to be sure.

since it's just one side, then that clues them to ligament pain, but if it doesn't let up, then go in for a check-up.

take care!

Go to the hospital - have them check for liver problems (common in pregnancy)
