My two most favorite instruments are the tenor sax and the classical (spanish) guitar. Both of them have probably the widest range of tones and therefore the most expression of any single instrument. They can both sing or shout as the player commands. If it has to be one or the other, then I would go for the classical guitar.

Every instrument has it's own character and, in the hands of a master, is capable of beauty, but those two - for me - stand head and shoulders above the others for their versatility.

I like to hear a flute because the sound of it flows.I also like to hear the violin for the same reason. The violin is a good instrument to play when someone is doing a solo.

There's a lot of them. In my opionion, drums of any kind. They're very spiritual, and as a matter of fact people use steady drumming rythms and actually have out-of-body experiances. How cool is that? Well anyway, I choose drums.
