Do you like Jazz? Blues? Soft Rock? Hard Rock? Heavy Metal? Classical? Country?

Your musical preference will inform your opinion of who the best guitarist in the world is>

Maybe it's Roy Clark. James Alan Shelton, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, Jimmy Page, BB King, Albert King,

-OR- Maybe the best guitarist is some unknown person, sitting in his/her house in Chicago or in Biloxi

KNOW WHAT -- I don't know who is the best guitarist alive today, and certainly we could name some very great guitar players, from among the now deceased..

FOR ALL I KNOW ----- YOU might be the best guitarist in the world today.
