Which is better?

Sempron 3400+
Speed: 2 Ghz
L2=256Kb
Bus= 1600mhz

Celeron D 352
CPU speed=3.2ghz
L2: 512kb
Bus=533mhz

I hear that Sempron has better perfomances than celron although it runs at lower clock speeds. so which one is better?

with these new processors it kinda hard to descide the best thing to do is to check out the processor more in depth because there are now amd sempron 64 bit and celeron d 64 bit. i beleive that the one mentioned about might be a celeron with 64 bit instuctions. if it has the 64 bit it will have a greater advantage due to the new archetectures in the newer operating systems. but i would try the sempron it will out beat the celeron in gaming and mutimedia.

Sempron. Clock speed is not the determiner of performance

Bus= the bigger number means faster memory access.
I 'd go for the Sempron

and, if you want upto 50X improvement in speed, (at the processing level!) run http://pclinuxos.com that also comes with 1,900 games, programs, applications. and, install it to get all 5,000 games, programs!
