The best friend I ever had died last year, sometimes it seems like it was yesterday

My brother died on Aug. 21, 1976. It was a truly horrible time. I still remember it like it was yesterday.
You'll never "get over it" or "deal with it" or any of those other psychobabble phrases. You will learn to accept it. And, it will hurt a little less each year, but it will always hurt.

Yes, I'm sorry. My grandfather died when i was little so i don't remmeber much of it, but 1 week ago my dog champy died and it was the worst feeling i've ever experienced and i don't know how i'm going to deal with it when someone closer passes away. I'm very sorry about your best friend. He'll always be in your heart.

One of my best friends died when I was 17. Later that year, my dad died. I've since lost way too many loved ones, most recently my grama in May. It doesn't get any easier!

Yes my father died 4 years ago, 2 monthes before he was to give me away at my wedding. I still miss him everyday. I have good days and I have bad days. It does get better, but it takes time.

Yes, my great grandmother who raised me died when I was 24 (4 years ago) and I miss her terribly. I never knew my heart could ache so badly.

IT's new. Imaginem your friend will always be that age. When you think of them 20 years from now, they will still be young. It's so strange.
