Hi. Assuming your question is more related to DNA in general and not precise percentages and that you meant for the question to be in physics then here is a thought or two. Plant DNA is pretty simple compared to human DNA. Take a pine tree for instance. Looks pretty simple at first. Some bark, needles, branches and support wood. The actual cells that form the tree lie in a thin layer between the wood and the bark. Cells on the inside become wood, cells on the outside become bark. Cells in moist soil form roots, cells in sunlight form needles. Pretty remarkable when you consider that the tree has no eyes yet can respond to solar radiation to make needles (or leaves) on branches, lack of solar radiation to make roots, has no sense of touch that we know of yet "knows" there is moisture, etc., and absorbs it and pumps it up to the needles. Your banana is even simpler since the tree has no wood. (Or brains, liver, nerves, tendons, etc.)

No, not true. Humans share 98.5% of their DNA with their closest living evolutionary relative, the bonobos or the chimps. Though chimps do eat banana, their genes aint the same as banana's ^^

No, if I recall correctly it's about 40-50 percent. which is still pretty amazing if you think about it. It's because we, us and the banana all have cells,, and to make a cell the instruction are pretty much the same. 40 to 50 percent. The 98% is the chimp.
