I have a 3 block bathroom cabinet mirror, very much like this one, in its basic design.

The edges of the mirror has peeled paint (from behind), and looks really bad. The rest of the mirror is in good shape. I can’t replace the mirrors or remove them and fix the lost paint. Is there any other way to cover up the edges?
I was thinking about putting duct tape around the edges. . . is that too tacky?

Help me out here.
Thanks.

Since the mirrors appear to be movable with a medicine cabinet beneath, it would be hard to implement the wooden frame idea and still use it. There are, however, some fabrics and nice contact papers out there with sticky backing that you could cut in a mitrered cornered picture frame and stick it to very clean mirror. It would look nice and you could choose a pattern or texture to match your bath decor and you could still use the medicine cabinet if you make slits where the joints are.

Why don't you go to the hardware store and buy some trim board in a style you like. Cut it to fit your mirror cabinet, be sure to cut pieces where the doors swing, either stain and varnish it, or paint it, and then glue it to the mirror's edges.

Depending on your budget, you can purchase thin strips of mirror with an adhesive backing. They can be cut to fit your existing mirrors. Try Home Depot or Lowes.

Perhaps you could get thin door trim and make a picture frame around the mirrors.

measure it and go to a local art & craft store and get a wooden hollow frame. You must use a special glue to adhere it to the mirrr--maybe silicone would do. I know someone who did this, came out great.
