I visited myspace.com but had trouble navigating the site. How do I find out if my 13 year old is a member. I have been receiving strange phone calls and different hours of the night from out-of-state areas.

MySpace has a pretty extensive search that you can use. You can search for your child's name, display name, or e-mail address. Here is the link to their search page: http://search.myspace.com/

If you are unable to turn up any results using the search you can try contacting MySpace. According to their terms of service you must be 14 years of age to have a MySpace account. Because your child is not of their age requirement they may be able to assist you in finding and removing your child's account if that is what you wish to do. You can contact them here: http://collect.myspace.com/misc/contact.cfm

I don't go on the site so I wouldn't know but check out the internet history files, the cookies on the computer.

Do a search under myspace for things you know he's interested in. He may even use his real name, do a search for that. If he posted a phone number, search for that. Make sure you click that you are searching "MySpace" not "the Web or internet"

Also restrict his account and block the myspace domain

Good luck, if I were a parent that place would creep me out

Go to myspace.com, click on search on the bar near the top of the page, enter his first name and last name in the search box and look through the results.

I mean your kid could be using an ALIAS down at the local library...you would never know.

Truth in honesty, truth in disclosure,.... is it true that some parents DO NOT know how to TALK to their Kids.... i did not watch much of 7th heaven in this life, but it may be a good reference from what I saw.... also teh honesty between CLARK and his parents in SMALLVILLE

here is a page you should read

★★ SAFETY & CANCELLATION ★★

◙ Safety and cancellation questions about MySpace.com and what to do about them. If you are a parent this will show you how to cancel your underage teenager's account. Even if you aren't a parent you would be wise to read this WHOLE page.

1. go to http://www.myspace.com
2. on the way top (in the blue area), click on the people tab.
3. in the search box at the top, type in the first and last name of the person you are looking for.
4. he/she should come up, otherwise, try typing in only the first name, but use the filter, type in the zip code and see if anything comes up. if not, he/she is probably clean (or at least didn't put up much personal information).

you can do a search on the site by name or email address. if you are not actually a member of the site then you can do what my friend's parents did.........google the person's name & it may eventually show up there.

Go to the search link at the top of the homepage, and search by name, not dispaly name

Have fun!
