I had similar problem once - make a really great meal with candles, favourite food, wine etc and eat together whilst dressed only in sexiest underwear or chemise whatever takes your fancy. dont worry about dessert, you wont make it!! Make conversation anything but recent problems but keep light hearted and funny then do whatever comes naturally!!

When it comes to things like this you both have to be strong especially if you guys stay together no matter how hard it gets on you just tell him it's OK and that you 'll always catch him when he falls as long as he doesn't make this not having a job a habit but so far if he's a real man he'll go looking for anther job and you should show some concern by helping him when you have the time to support your man theirs nothing wrong with that take him out to the movies are out to eat or something

First dont buy him anything and try not to spend alot of money in front of him (you know how guys get)
Secondly be as supportive of him as you can when he gets up in the morning to go out and look for anothe job fix him breakfast while hes getting ready wish him luck and a lit peck on the cheek
Lastily when he comes home and looks a little down be prepared shower bath whatever to get him to relax
And last have as much sex with him as possible and when he finds a new job do some really freaky stuff that night. Ya know just to show him how special he is.

Hi I find that the best way to cheer my man up when hes down is to boost his confidence and let him know you love him no matter what,so for example dress very sexy 1night and show him a good time, cook for him or take him out for a nice meal then just give him lots of love and reassurance everything will be fine.x

let him have a day or two to relax and collect his thoughts. Don't and I repeat DON'T annoy him with questions and constant talking about the situation. Try to cheer him up by doing things that you normally do to cheer him up when he comes home from work.

Hugs always help, but don't be the annoying smothering girlfriend that people don't want to be around!!!!!

Does he NEED it or you just want to Cheer him up?
I don't know the cause of his lost, but for sure if he is not the one who caused the lost then, he is fine...:-)and positive to move on like others :-)

Leave him and date his best mate that will take his mind off it - it might even cheer him up now that he has no income to support a girlfriend.

MY BOYFRIEND LOST HIS JOB A FEW WEEKS AFTER FINDING OUT I WAS PREGNANT WITH OUR FIRST CHILD - THE OUTLOOK WAS BLEAK - BUT U HAVE TO DUST YOURSELF OFF AND GET BACK OUT THERE. WE MADE A CV/ RESUME FOR HIM AND WITH A COVER LETTER SENT IT OUT TO LOADS OF PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYERS AND WITHIN A WEEK HE HAD FIVE CALLS FOR INTERVIEWS AND WITHIN 2 HE WAS BACK IN WORK. WE ENJOYED THE TIME OFF TOGETHER. YOU HAVE TO REALISE THAT EVERYONE GOES THROUGH BAD TIMES YOU NEED THEM TO MAKE THE MOST OF THE GOOD. NO ONE HAS THE PERFECT LIFE, BE HAPPY AND TRY TO GET HIM EXCITED ABOUT FINDING A NEW JOB AT A BETTER COMPANY, A CHANGE IS AS GOOD AS A REST. HOPE THIS HELPS. IT WORKED FOR US.

do what he likes. like make his mind think of something else. don't spend money in front of him and don't talk abt money or any other way that can releate to money bec losing job is losing money too. encourage him to get a new job.

Well...
I know what would cheer me up if I was a bit down but I don't know if you are that sort of girl.
But trust me if you are, he will be a happy bunny afterwards.
