Wow, it sounds like you have the same problem I do--you must be a home and furniture goddess. You see, when you're in that position, various furnishings and household items (such as walls, chairs and doors), want to worship you so much that they leap out in front of you, inadvertently tripping you. I haven't really found a solution, except to try and dodge my worshippers.

Don't feel bad, I did something alittle similar...maybe worse! I was driving with my friends and I was getting ready to park. At the same time, we were checking out a group of guys who were hanging out in the parking lot. Instead of using my brakes to get easily into the spot, I accelerated. My car went over that concrete thing and got stuck. How's that for embarrassment...I wanted to crawl under the car...lol.

did you break any glass in the door while at it, or was it one of those not clear glass doors? ouch, that must've been embarrasing, but not as bad as when i was riding a bike down the sidwalk at age15 talking to a very pretty girl and some business guy in a taxi opens his door and whammo, i tell ya, that hurts. but then again, when i look back maybe it wasn't so bad considering the girl made a big show of it and kept asking me if i was alright, givin me lots of attention

LOL ... I think we all have something like that happen in our lives. Once, I fell down at a bowling alley, and everyone just looked at me. I told them to laugh ... it was funny!
I think if you can laugh at yourself, people don't feel so weird about laughing with you as they do laughing at you. And it sort of blends into the background of their minds.
Don't worry about it ... just laugh at yourself.

Get over it-in the grand scheme of things it's really not important. Only a silly person would bring it up again.

you're not an idiot... it happens to most of us.
a friend of mine once stared at a girl walking past us.
guess what happened?
he walked straight into a parking meter - about 3 f high... you can imagine how pain-full it was for him but we all laughed...
and still tease him about it - even today

I walked my face into a pillar once with so much force that I cried! Just laugh about it, stupid things happen to people quite often, so they won't dwell on what you did =).

Believe me ... in the scheme of embarassing things ... not even
close.
If you are in love, it just shows the depth of your feeling. Not
a bad thing. Really.
If you aren't in love, well, then, it does make me wonder if perhaps
you need an eye appointment...
