Randy Harrison (who plays Justin Taylor from Queer as Folk) has to be my ALL-TIME FAVORITE LGBT icon. He's not only adorable, but he took part in a show that was highly controversial at the time, and even considered controversial now, took on a role that goes through so many metamorphoses, trials, and tribulations, and is out and proud of it.
Not to mention... he's really hot and part of the ultimate OTP (one true pair).
Queer as Folk's Brian/Justin pairing will live on! (even though the show is technically over)
He's shown that you can be publically homosexual and still be successful.

I love Ruth Ellis, Leisha Hailey (so hot), Lily Tomlin, Ellen Degeneres,Johnny Mathis, basically, for the most part, people who were openly gay when back when everyone else was hiding it.
