It has been on my wrist and hand for a few days and I do not want it to spread.

If you mix calomine lotion with some alcohol, it will speed the drying & calm the itch

Try some hydrocortisone cream (it's OK to use it occasionally) or some painkiller cream with local anesthetic (which doesn't have the cortisone side effects.) If you don't scratch the poison ivy, it probably won't spread.

I've heard that jewelweed helps poison ivy. Not that I know offhand what it looks like or its scientific name. But apparently, you crush it and smear it on poison ivy and it helps it. So if you can track some of that down, it's a good herbal remedy.

calamine lotion (helps to take the itch out) It helps to wash your hands often to help prevent the spreading.
