My husband has been having this weird pain on the right side of his face above his eye brow. It's a sharp pain that is so strong it makes him sweat. The pain only lasts for a few minutes though and comes and goes. At first I thought it was his sinuses since I am prone to getting sinus infections but it keeps coming and getting worse. I'm terrified it's something worse so any info anyone can give me would be appreciated

sharp pains, don't usually originate inside the skull as the brain doesn't have that sort of pain receptors in it. So, doubt very much it's a "brain problem"....localized intense pain like that can be caused by migraine...by sinus problems...by tic doloreaux...and a number of other things. Would strongly suggest he see a doctor, personally I would see a neurologist myself, but at least a general practitioner can begin ruling some things out.

It may be what is called a cluster headache. I would recommend getting a doctor to look at him soon. I would recommend a referral to a neurologist from your family doctor; just ask your family MD to refer your husband to a reputable neurologist, most family MD's do not have a problem referring upon a patient request. Good luck and I hope all goes well. Hang in there hubby.

i would recommend that you send him to his physician and ask to have a CT scan done. with a CT they can tell if there is (God forbid) a tumor or if he has mucous build up and recommend that he see a ENT (ear, nose and throat) doc.
