If there are matters in your life so serious that you can't laugh if they are part of a good joke, then you have a some sort of trauma connected to that subject. Now, this is not a bad thing; it's completely natural that a person who has just lost a relative can't really make fun out of it, and a person who has witnessed a mass murder will have a hard time thinking about it perhaps for the rest of his/her life. However, if religion, politics, your own physical appearance or something like that is a "too serious subject" to you, then maybe it could be time to think about it and start to work with all those bad feelings you have around that particular subject.
Oh, naturally bad joke is always a bad joke, no matter the subject or the sensitivity of it; likewise rude comments and insults should not be thought as "jokes" only because some morons laugh at them.

I am yet to find something so serious that it cannot be joked about, and that includes, death, life, god, religion, politics - we can make joke of all of them.

hmm... thats a good one. If put in the right context and to the right person, anything can be joked about. just make sure they have a good sense of humor!

the concentration camps. things like that. i wouldnt be joking around about hitler to a jewish person. but i mean it really does depend on the person your joking around with, because everyone is sensitive to different things.

I'd like to think we are all entitled to free speech. However, that being said, I can't stand stupid dead baby jokes. They turn my stomach.

with those who have lost a loved one to a suicide, I'd kill myself comments or jokes hit home for me and i hate 'em
