i live in london ontario. filed my divorece with the courthouse JUNE 16 2006. i stillh avnet heard anything. is this normal? should i dd something? im planning on getting married SEPT 2007 and im starting to freak out htat my divorc eownt be done on time. it was a simple uncontested divorce, no kids no property, and clean cut...why havent i heard anythng?

Holy cow Lou it's only been about 6 weeks. I also live in Ontario and know how darn slow our government operates. Don't fret, I am also getting remarried next May and my fiance still has to file for her divorce also. I think that you should probably be hearing about your's in another 6 - 8 weeks. Best of luck with your new wife.

Have you checked about for your area the waiting time is.I think it is usually 45 days.

Pick up the phone and call them. It can not be that hard to call and ask what the deal is.
