you can conceive again as soon as the first time you ovulate after giving birth. I would not recommend it, though. You really need to give your body time to heal. Not only that, but if you are breastfeeding, you will take away vital nutrients that the unborn baby needs. You will not be able to keep up with the demands of a newborn if you are pregnant right away again. You will be tired, emotional, stressed and stretched very thin. I would wait 6 mo to a year. Definately talk to you OB/GYN and get their opinion. My sister in law did this, by accident, and she was so wiped out. She was sick many times and couldn't give her newborn the attention he deserved during the pregnancy. It was really sad to see.

The recommended time for trying to concieve after birth is one year. This allows time for the uterus to heal, the baby to nurse and the body to get back in shape.

If you pay attention to how far apart most siblings are, you will notice the average is 1 year 10 months. (That's 1 year and 1 month between birth and conception).

the ideal intergenesic period of time ( the time between 2 pregnancies) is about 1 year and a half so your body will be ready to have another pregnancy, you wont be lactating and what is the most important thing your youngest child will not need you this much..it is proved that babies need their mums in exclusivity at least till they are 2 years old...so tell your husband to wait a little bit if he wants to have a healthy family.

I would suggest that you wait at least a year to start trying again. Your body still needs time to recover from the pregnancy and birth you just had. Spacing children too close together will put you at a higher risk of pregnancy complications and preterm birth.

You really want to enjoy this baby before having another baby, you want your body to take time to go back to the way it was before you had gotten pregnant with the baby you just delivered. Make sure you are financially stable to have another baby as well. There are so many things you need to look at before getting pregnant so soon. It would be best to at least get this one out of diapers then have another one.

It can be very dangerous to have babies so soon together, when you get pregnant your blood vessels dilate to get more blood to baby when you dont give them a chance to go back down to their regular size you put yourself at risk for deep vein thrombosis this is when blood clots form and break free traveling to other parts of the body women have died from this very thing Be careful!

My two sons are 11 1/2 months apart. My Dr. said its best to wait a year before you get pregnant to get your uterus back to its normal size and decrease the risk of miscarriage or early labor. I had to see a materal fetal specialist every month and get ultrasounds to make sure everything was ok. Luckily it was and now my son's just had their 1st and 2nd birthdays!

You can get prenant within weeks, but it is not advisable. You should wait at least 2 years, pregnancy is a major strain on your body (like you didn't know that) and not waiting could be harmful to both you and the baby.

You can get pregnant at anytime after having a baby. It all depends on your body. Sometimes the body cant keep up and kinda has to "reset" itself. I would say wait atleast year to give your body a rest.
