I just got a virus opening a page from one of the questions on yahoo answers.I have AVG and I did the scan.It found the viruses, but can not heal them.I have 9 infected files now.I need to know how to heal them.The viruses can not be moved to the virus vault.And what are the long term affect on my computer.PLEASE HELP.(I put this question under "security".if you know a better section to post it please tell me)Thank You!

uninstall THAT crap AVG ANTI VIRUS AND GET THIS LOT

download xoftspy422 and install it then run it stop the scan and click on scan settings tick every box and click on where it says >> click here to select a folder then tick the (c) thats your hard drive if you have 2 hard drives tick the 2 of them then click ok
then click start when the scan is done click on remove tab

Sorry....AVG is the worst free antivirus in the lastest tests.

You should prefer Antivir or Havast who are as best as the commercial softwares on the market. Install also a good anti spyware.

Try this: start you computer in safe mode then re-run the antivirus, it should work.

Well, Yahoo! Answer doesn't have any viruses. Also, questions on Yahoo! answers can't carry viruses as you can't add any scripts to them.

What you can try doing is updating and scanning your antivirus then scan your PC.

If you still feel unsatisfied, try shifting to another Antivirus and see how things go...there are a lot of Antiviruses that come FREE these days.

AVG is total junk. I recommend this free antivirus program. It is called antivir.

run you AVG in safe mode. you should be able to remove them from the vault then go to explorer run a file find on my computer find all files typing in the name of virus. then restart your computer in normal mode.

Go to: http://www.trendmicro.com and run the program 2 times to make sure it is all gone .Also install AD AWARE SE this will clean the spy in your PC, Just relax and we are here to help you.
