You can become whatever you want, when I was 10-11 I liked N'Sync and Backstreet Boys and all the pop stuff. But with age comes maturity and knowing what you like more and more. I'm 16 now and I've discovered my true music taste which is reggae and laid back music with folk influence like Jack Johnson and Mason Jennings. If you're starting to not like pop music as much and rock more, good for you, you're growing up and actually liking music for music, not because everyone else likes it.
