if it doesnt work, try this website, www.meebo.com It's a free IM website that requires no downloading and includes Yahoo, AIM, MSN and GTalk. You can use this for a while, and then after a few days go back to your messanger shortcut button and it should work

well fix it( go to "my computer" --> "C:" --> "Programs" --> name of your massneger(folder were it is installed) --> then find the .exe file that starts the messanger.
right-click on that file and click on create shortcut.
