I don't know what con is?
Conservative?
If that is the case, there is virtually no conservative leadership in Washington politics at the moment.
It is your ideological bias that throws you off I suspect.
Being that the Dem=Dem and Rep=Con
Funny that Dem doesn't = Lib, why?
Anyway, the Lieberman affair will ensure Rep landslide as the Dem position is forced to be a position of weakness in national security.
Remeber, the Dems still refuse to make ANY outline or mention of future outlines for a national security policy, they just throw punches and is certianly why the Rep keep gaining swing votes and will continue now in NY especialy.
The idea that "W" is a conservative reveals sophomoric and or naive view of the American political theater.
See Social Spending.

How about some leaders that will actually do something instead of pandering to special interest groups.
Beach Bum: If it's impeachment you're interested in, check out my question on it. Note that even if Democrats win every Senate race in November, that's still only 60 seats - seven short of what would be needed to convict.

My wife. I though the parties were Dem and Rep. Ideally one branch should be Democrats, the other Republicans. Checks and Balances.

Democrats all the way. Actually, I'm Republican, but we need someone to try to get us out of the messes GWB has created.
