Because it's disrespectful.

Most of the anti-porn mentality stems in a weird way from the women's movement of the 1970s. Women wanted to be treated as equal. Women read Cosmo with inpunity, yet when their husbands buy a Playboy or Penthouse somehow that's now degrading to women. The hypocrisy of this is apparent in many aspects of life today. Women "demand" respect and equality yet they don't treat men very well. What used to be the parlance of the bedroom, bathroom or truck glove compartment now is the computer in the home office. The excessive nature of anything can be detrimental to the individual. The prevalence of porn on the net can and does take time away from relationships

Many "feminist" women have become frigid and don't want to be sexy or have sex, they want to have a home where sex is not necessary.. Their husbands will take matters into their own hands (pardon the pun)..

First of its not always about the porn itself its the lying behind your back part. i have a serious problem with my husband viewing porn. we have been married for 8 years and i found stuff and we went to counciling. its personally for me a situation where his lying is the problem and also the fact that my five year old saw disturbing things for example a young women with a farm animal and some what look like young teens. i hate lyers and porn has distroyed all the trust in our marriage.because of the lying. We are sooposta be a upstanding catholic family and this is one problem he wont admit to.we are lifers in the marriage counciling department. they call it a cyber sex addition.ask your self would you let your child be a porn star. or what if it was your daughter. however their is nothing wrong with playboy. at least its tastfull.

I have NO idea, I was just thinking the same thing. I don't care in the least when my husband does it. Strip clubs are fine too. He can do whatever he wants as long as there is no sex involved. Heck, I look at porn too.

Too much stifling and rules in a marriage makes for a bad marriage. We love each other and he loves that I respect him enough to trust him and give him some space (and vice versa)

the same reason they don't like when he watches a hot woman in front of her walking by. Any woman who distracts her husband makes her feel insecure. Porn has attractive idealized woman who love sex in it. Even though there is zero chance of him actually doing it with her, she feels that every sexual fantasy a man has should be about her...If she is really insecure, any representation, pictoral or otherwise, is a threat. He has to think about her all the time otherwise their relationship is in danger...at least that's what she thinks...The man thinks it is harmless and 90% of men who watch porn do it because they are afraid of having an affair and see it as a harmless cheap alternative.

Any kind of porn. If he has to look at other women naked he doesn't need me. I don't need to look at naked men to be happy with my hubby so there is something lacking in a relationship when someone needs porn.

Be faithful means just that and it also says in the bible not to lust after others. Porn is lusting after others.

Candy Girl

PS it doesn't have anything to due with insecurity. That is a lame excuse.

I really don't have an issue w/ porn per say...i want my boyfriend and I to make a movie like that ourselves BUT there is a line that I will not cross...I am AT MY SEXUAL peak...and porn shouldn't be a bad thing....SOME people use it all the time and then it gets abused.

Because they will most likely never look like the women in porn. Because women find sex emotional, so for a man to enjoy sex as entertainment can cheapen the sex between them as a couple.

I believe that porn is an addiction that a man begins to need more and more of. I think that a man would begin to not be satisfied enjoying making love to his wife. Instead, he starts wanting to fulfill lusts that were sparked by pornography.

Here is the answer for that. Personlay, I wuld not feel confortable if my wife watches porn(if I were maried). I believe it's a respect thing, she might think that she is not good enough for you or she might not be satisfying you, or you are looking for something better. I just don't think it's right.
