I suggest the all natural supplement Optiflora. This two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Other products claim live microflora at the time of manufacture. Optiflora guarantees the delivery of live microflora (500 million) to your colon. This is a patented process.
This two-part system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora).
Hope this helps and for more info, feel free to contact me.

Don't use meds--try diet changes. Fiber, fruits and veggies, lots of water. And be sure to exercise--it gets your muscles moving and helps regulate intestinal contractions. And if it's IBS, you might need some meds--see the doctor if it goes on for a long time because it could be a blockage or constriction or something like that, which is serious and may require surgery.
Annual sex? Dude, that means that you only have sex once a year. Did you mean anal sex? Fool.
And it's an enema, not an enima.

Try golden ground flax seed. Just 1/8 cup of the ground flax seed should keep you regular and also make sure to drink at least 8 to 10 cups of water a day. ( I buy the flax seed in a 10 or 20 pound bag and grind it in a coffee grinder daily and and stir it in a beverage like v8 juice.) You can find the golden flax seed on the internet by using your search engine. Good luck.

Increase intake of fuits and vegetables and whole grain products. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. Avoid refined (white sugar and flour foods). Get active (walking is good). Read 'Digestive Wellness' by Lipski. It is a goldmine of good advice.

Examine your diet. If it consists of processed food, meat, cheese, sweets, etc with no fibrous foods like fresh veges and fruits, then there is your problem. Do you ever exercise? You need to exercise regularly. Do you drink a lot of water, not coffee, soda and smoothies but H2O? All of these things will make you not need to take laxatives.
A sure fire laxative that works? Cascara.

fiber will help. look into alternative herbal remedies, but you must be careful as this can be counter productive. i myself am a armature herbalist and you need to find a senior herbalist, Remember most medicines are derived from plants. you'd be surprised to know that the average lawn had deadly plants growing. good luck
