About a month ago,on a Saturday we reserved a boat at Rocky Branch Marina/Ugly John's in Rogers Arkansas. When we got there they had given our boat away to somebody else. Our names were on the list and the people they gave our boat to wasn't. Now after much arguing with the clerk, she refused to talk with us,told us she wasn't speaking to us anymore, and that we needed to call the manager. So we did and she offered us a free 1/2 day rental in the middle of the week. None of us could take the boat in the middle of the week, she said to bad then, and left us with no options. We contacted the general office and the president gave us a free rental on the weekend for an entire day.So when we got there they again had given all the boats away and said they had one left that we could have. Long story short the boat did not work and we were stranded in the lake and they would not come get us. We had to fix it and go back they still made us pay for the gas. Should make them give us our money back?

I just sent a link of this post to them. I told them I was going to reserve a boat, but now that I've seen how they operate, I don't think I should.

File a report with the better business bureau. It won't do a whole lot but it might help the next people that are deciding to rent from them or not.

You might try sending a CALM letter detailing the situation to the HEAD of the company. But if you signed anything at all, it probably had small print on it somewhere that says they are not responsible for anything that happens, so getting your money back might be a long shot.

One other long shot is to contact your state's attorney general's office about the situation, they can take legal action if there's any to take, but they are busy and might not

Yes, you should complain and get your gas money back. You should also complain to the president of the company about the horrible service and terrible conditions of the boat.

Hell yeah they should give you back your money. They jerked your chain and treated you with no respect. They certainly need a few lessons on how to run a buisness, how do they keep the customers they do have. I'd call the owner and if that don't work call the BBB

Give em hell sister, they should be aware that there are consequences for treating customers like crap. Make a big ol sign and set at the entrance and wave it at everyone.

I would but you need to look at the contract and maybe ask this under law enforcement or legal instead of polls.

Take them to Small Claims Court--they may be willing to settle out of court.
