Yeah, what you need to do is get the Motorola V256 drivers (and) software. Some Motorola models allow you to directly access the solid state memory on the phone, while others keep it hidden for security purposes. Most Motorola phones require some sort of software. In order to best connect your phone to your computer, however, you should probably buy the appropriate computer pack. This allows you to connect your phone to your computer, edit pictures, upload things to your phone, ect. However, there are various freeware programs that allow you to access the phone directory. So basically search around for it, or buy the certified version.

You need to get Motorola Mobile Phone tools and the usb data cable. The software and cable bundle can be found online for under $20 that will allow you to not only back up your contacts, do mms, etc, but you can transfer your pictures from your phone to your computer without using any data service, minutes, or getting charged for emails etc. In the long run the cost of the kit will pay for itself.

Either you can use a data cable and some software to extract the pictures/videos from your phone to your computer, or you can just simply email the pictures from your phone to your email address which you can check from your computer and then download and save them to your computer.
