There is something about Mozart's work that makes me happy. I truly enjoy listening to his compositions because I can get lost in them. No other composer's pieces have done that for me.

My favorite piece is Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major. I smile when I think of it. I know it so well, I don't even have to listen to it. It's just a part of me. That may sound really strange, but there was a time in my life when this was my 'comfort music' and I listened to it constantly... It's just beautiful to me in every way. :)

It's a tie for me - I absolutely love Beethoven, most notably his "Pastoral" Symphony (#6), but I'm also very partial to Johann Sebastian Bach. I particularly like "Brandenburg Concerto #2," but my favorite rendition of this is by the Wurttemburg (sp?) Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jorg Faerber. (Reason for this is, when I was a kid, A&P grocery stores had the "Funk & Wagnalls Family Library Of Great Music," and this was the version that was on the record. No other version compares, IMHO.)

First of all, your signoff startled the heck out of me...as you can probably see from my username ;)

Favourite composer is Rossini. His overtures are grand and stunning, and the overture to "La Scala di Seta" may be my favourite piece of music from any genre.
