I meet people on the streets, at work, and mostly on the chat line. Have we changed the meaning of friends. i know we migrate to certain people with some type of attraction. But in the past I've met people that don't understand. My defintion of a friend is comparable to a brother,sister,father or mother figure. We go out, talk on occasion about personal or not so personal subjects,you lend a helping hand and I would do the same. But never anything intimate, no touching or caressing. Unless there is a death in the family, or I'm in bad health, or just greeting each other.

I always had two levels of friends. One is people i spend time with on occasion but have no real emotional attachement to them. If they were to disappear off the face of the earth tomorrow, the only hole i'd have would be in my calendar.
The other level are people who are somehow part of the structure of your life. They help hold you where you are. They are people you go to for help and advice. They are people you build real memories with. They are the people who would leave you much poorer if they were to leave your life today. Not in the financial sense poorer, but in the sense that you would feel slightly disoriented, as if the pedestal you stand on suddenly cracked a little and lost a piece and now you have to try to balance on what you have left. Over time you may be able to replace what a lost friend meant in your life. That's normal because we have to try to go on, no matter what.

well....people have different opinions in the definition of friends and the friendship can sometimes turn into friendship on fire in time. Believe in what u think frieindship is, cause alot of people have all different beleives on what friendship is.

its one of the most dearest relationships u can have...these days??..really hard to find a true friend...u might find 3-4 in ur entire life...rest are buddies...come on go with time....sometimes u get close to em others times ur distant...whereas with true friends...ur always there...

aquaintances ..are people who you enjoy their company ...work with ...chat with ...friends are close personal people ..who accept you as you are ...no holds barred even on your worst monday morning ....they are there because they love you for who you are ...also they respect your bounderies ...if you dont like close and personal affection.. they respect that ...does that help??
