For instance Dick Cheney and his "Halliburton". Or Bush along the side of Israel, while Israel kills children and wives in Lebanon. Or even better how both of them are compulsive liars? Is the world not about the people anymore, but about money? Isn't politics supposed to better humanity and unite people?

This is probably the most corrupt administration of any first world country in the last 100 years. Every single person connected with this administration has business ties that are directly affected by their decisions. And that's just what we know of!

I find this type of rhetorical question and the answers fascinating. That is, they are full of misunderstandings and conclusions made with no facts or assumed information not based on reality.

After all of these years and the proof of failure of communistic ideals and goals, there are yet people who prefer it over a system of capitalism and free enterprise. Communism is all about control of the people by a few elite, destroying the middle class, and bringing the people down to the lowest common denominator.

Capitalism and free enterprise is a system which allows any individual to control their own economic circumstances and change the direction of their lives through personal selected education and experience and making their own choices on what they want to do. That such a system works best when the people are proactive in this process is true, and looking at the answers here the future looks dark.

Politics also works best with a proactive and involved citizenry. By this I don’t mean whining about everything someone doesn’t like, but rather getting involved with the political process beginning at the local community level. If you don’t like it, get involved, learn what is actually happening and why, formulate a new plan, convince others of the worthiness of your plan, get it enacted.

To do other than this is to follow in the steps of such as Lenin and that is true corruption where killing is the preferred way to gain power and enforce your will on others.

We will always be on Israels side no matter who is president. And your facts are clearly mistaken, It is Lebanons fault for allowing Hezbollah to run the southern part of the country autonomously. This all goes back to the Oslo accords after WW2. I dont blame Israel for attacking the way they did. They are sick and tired of living n fear of hezbollah. Lobbing rockets whenever they want. Crossing the border and kidnapping soldiers. If Israel did that to them there would be outrage. Where is the outrage over Hezbollahs acts?

After WW2 the Oslo accords carved Palestine in half, giving the Jews a homeland. In all major wars, winners gain lands, the losers lose land. Palestine was with the Germans. They lost and lost land. After that the Palestinians got mad and decided to go to war with Israel to get land from them and lost. Israel got more land from them. Then Palestine tried it again. and lost again. Then they said we just kidding give our land back. Israel said no. Open up a history book

How corrupt is....? In what terms can that be measured? How about you get a clue before asking dumb questions. I don't know where you heard that politics is supposed to better humanity and unite people. Fantasy Island perhaps? When was the last time a politician told the truth? A politician is someone who lies, cheats, and steals candy from babies.

Yes it should better humanity and unite people, but alas the government machine is spinning out of control and out of balance kinda like your washing machine that makes that thud when it is spinning out of balance. You'd be suprised at how corrupt the gov't is. I came across the National Security Archive and found in there a justification for military intervention in Cuba back in 1962. Basically it states that our own gov't was going to attack our own country at certain points of interest and blame Cuba so our military would be justified in going in to Cuba and getting rid of Castro. I'm sure there are other clandestine operations going on today. It's a monster that is out of the control of the people. Sad but true.

Do something about it!!! Actively support candidates that are calling for Campaign Finance Reform!!!!

As is, contributions are made to support political campaigns. Money buys exposure and all too often, the candidate with the most exposure wins. Our system is designed so that big money will continue to control politics.

Cracking down on gerrymandering, lobbyist reform and electoral reforms are needed as well.

Find out what politicians support these measures and vote for them, regardless of party ties.

the yankee Civil Liberties isn't the yankee government. yet you're top. lots of our government officers are crooked via fact the day is long. no longer all yet many. some are out for money and could do in spite of the fact that they could to get it at a similar time as others are out for the ability and status. yet incredibly the worst are the politicians and leaders who will do something for their ideology. there is one situation i decide for to shout as loud as possible and it relatively is this: no longer all politicians are crooked. there are various, many undemanding people in government too. the single situation that would help the situation is term LIMITS.

The last Presidential election should tell you how corrupt the present day American government is... A politician, in order to get elected and work in Washington DC MUST be able to lie, to look the other way, to leave his/her ethics at home... to put the party's agendas above their personal ethics and morals... Once a politician goes to Washington DC... they are corrupted within a week! Doesn't say much for our government, does it!!!
