Pitcher for the KC Royals who went on leave this year. Is he coming back? What really happened to him?

He left the team for a while to seek psychiatric treatment for some problems, but he's back and pitching for the Royals' AA affiliate in Wichita.

From what I've read, it sounds like they're not going to call him up in September, even though his numbers have been really good lately. Maybe he'll be able to crack the roster next season.

AUG 11
Dick Kaegel, of KansasCity.Royals.MLB.com, reports Kansas City Royals SP Zack Greinke (personal) threw seven shutout innings for Double-A Wichita Wednesday, Aug. 9, but didn't get the win as the team lost 3-2. Greinke also gave up four hits and walked one while striking out seven. Since Saturday, July 1, Greinke has posted a 3.14 ERA, with 58 strikeouts and only seven walks, in 51 2/3 innings.

He went on the 60-day DL at the begginning of Spring Training. He's been in the minors for rehab since late July.

Actually what happened was,he was put over the edge just thinking about another bad season w/a club owned by the CEO of Wal-Mart.. Maybe if the rehab does"nt work out,he can be the worlds most expensive Wally-World Greeter.....
