Depends on the case. If we are talking about where a 3rd grader kisses a 3rd grader of the opposite sex and gets a sexual harrassment case, yes, that's over the top. There are actual cases of students molesting other students, raping other students, or teachers doing the same. It all depends on a case by case basis.

in the case of grade school, kindergarten up to 3rd grade, i think the teachers are making mountains out of mole hills. it think they push this issue too much to get kids thrown out of school. as far as middle school, i think by that time a kid should know better and if they are sexually harrassing someone, they should be charged with it, be suspended or have some consequences.

i feel that some of it might be representable. but for the most part kids are just being kids. when my 21 year old brother was in fifth grade he went around on the playground asking all the girls if they were virgins. he had learned the word from the movie hocus pocus. some moms almost took him to court. but i didn't think it was a big deal. i mean kids don't really know what they are talking about. i think bulling is a much bigger problem than sexual harassment. that's what ends up scaring kids for life.

The other way around.
Mole hills turn out to be mountains when they get older.
If you nip it in the butt and teach them that it is not allowed then there will be less sexual harassment, date rapes and unwanted sexual advances in their futures.
School is where they first learn how to react to each other and should be taught social skills as well as just academics.

I would say that there could be some real substance to the complaints. I mean, kids today are starting to have sex and they are only 11 or 12 (just look at all the anonymous yahoo questions from kids). So if kids are already starting to have sex that young, you can bet they have the potential to be verbally or physically sexually harassing kids at their schools.

Sexual harrassment is a super deal. incredibly in case you're speaking with reference to the persons popularity and interest. You do would desire to communicate up and enable them to renowned that it did no longer appear as if a huge deal to you. some human beings ( the girl) take issues in yet in a diverse way. She would hate men specially and would't wait to get at each and every male she would be able to. In sexual harassment circumstances, it rather is as much as her to inform administration approximately it. it rather is then managements responsability to then seek advice from the guy and tell him approximately it. IF, IF, IF--- it maintains---THEN it rather is sexual harassment. they could supply him a warning and of venture to no longer do it lower back. If he has no warning, he has no theory he's offending her. in case you probably did no longer evaluate it harrassment, then do you think approximately it digging his very own grave? you may desire to inform them you have witnessed a similar ingredient to you and you probably did no longer evaluate it harrassment. it rather is then as much as administration to make certain the end result. Do the final ingredient!!

I think our society has become ridiculously litigious and everyone is crying harassment and unfair "something or other." Is that the social standard we want to put on our children!? As soon as something isn't to your liking, go run and cry and place some legal blame, or deal with it yourself. It's nonsense... if someone in the schoolyard is doing something you don't like, kick them in the balls. That's how it worked when I was in grade school, and it worked pretty darn well.

I think the fact that more sexual assault happens on that age is a result from society. This needs to be taken very seriously. Why is it that this happens? That is the big question, and the answer is not that easy.
