Generally, the best idea is to exit from yahoo im completely. then restart the program.. not sure why this happens, but, it happens to everyone. Happened to me this morning. .
And, of course, it usually happens in the middle of a conversation..

This happens to me all the time, you need to log off and then log on again, try this a couple of times. Or just restart your computer.
