I like indie. Some punk and hardcore is good too. I've been obsessed with Every Time I Die's "Hot Damn!" album ever since it first came out. Hardcore mixed in with a little southern rock n roll...It's awesome.

In which case, I would vote for the psychedelic era (think: Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's", summer of love, 1967, peace, love & rock-n-roll).
