Holy crap. I can't stand to see a team run that. Filled with one screen pass after another. Kind of takes away from the running game. My favorite team the Packers ran this offense when Holmgren was around. It won games and kept Favre in check but it was hard to sit through. My dad and I used to joke about how many screens would be thrown. We would bet on it. I would have even traded a few wins for some excitement. When Favre started letting it fly the last couple of years I actually could stay awake for games. Even if he did have 31 interceptions or something. Run and shoot baby! All hail Warren Moon and the Houston Oilers of the 1980's! Also tecmo super bowl for favoring the long pass.

The West Coast Offense is about short passes to control the football...and the line of scrimmage... Bill Walsh was the one that perfected the West Coast offense in the '80s with the 49ers...

I don't agree. The problem is that most (all) teams today don't have all the weapons needed to run the West Coast Offense the way it was intended to be run. When the 49ers (from the 1980's) ran it, with Joe Montana at QB, it was a thing of beauty.

you are an idiot, more championships won with the West Coast Offense than any other offense ever. Better offensive production, produced more Potential Hall of Fame Qb's. (Aikman, Montana, Young, Elway,Farve, etc.) There are more Bill Walsh Proteges in head coaching jobs than any other system.

Possibly the most boring, but it did what it was designed to do - win football games. It basically took what the defense gave them and exploited it.

Same as the Devils' neutral zone trap. Might not be pretty to watch, but it worked.
