Depression is a wide and varied subject with all sorts of so called experts out there.....I am not an expert.......And I truly feel for you......But I have had depression and I feel that depression in my case came from unanswered questions running around in my mind.So I started to try and answer these questions. If I did not have an answer within ten minutes I would forget the question for that day and come back to it another day.Eventually I always got the answer to my questions. The depression went away.

n odepression does not start from being parraniod. Go to drepressoinhurts.com. The stats of how many people have depresion are unreal. And it usually comes later in life so if you are a teen it will go away and come back again in later life.
And life right now is so bad many people are in bad shape.
A good doctor would never think you were stupid. i perfer a nurse practioner to a doctor because they will spend more time trying to help you. Be prepared to be a gunnie pig. It is a hard problem because people are not the same. Be sure you have family or friends to help you exspecially if they put you on medication. Someone you can call that will hold you.Help you threw and try to stay away from the people who upset you.
Omg thank you so much I have been in depression so long and not finding the right drug and for the first time in a long time I want to cry. I just need to cry. I so hope you get the help. Wish I could hold your hand.

I've clinical psychology background, I can help u. Paranoia can lead to depression. But r u sure u've that? Being paranoid is not paranoia. It doesn't have clinical feature. Any one can be little suspicious at a time, it's normal. If u feel like u do have, please go and see a psychologist first for therapy. If u believe in medicine go to a psychiatrist. All I wanted to say see a specialist before making it worst and harmful to u. Any kind of mental problem should be equally valued like any kind of physical problem. So consider it as cold/fever/headache, it may get worse or get better. But best to consult instead keep it going and make it worst by stressing on it and thinking about it.

From what is your paranoia stemming from? Do you have thoughts of suicide or hurting someone else? Have you had any stressful events lately or loss of a love one or important thing?

If you have had something recently that depresses you then it would be called "situational depression" and should be self limiting. Chronic depression usually is manifested by poor motivation, not wanting to do anything, poor sex drive etc. This is the type of depression that will usually respond to medications.

If however, your paranoia stems from something else or you have thoughts of hurting yourself or others then you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Hope this helps

I think paranoia and depression may have their causes in another condition or conditions. I don't think one causes the other.

Ask your doctor to rule out hyperinsulinemia (check www.mayoclinic.com - and search for hyperinsulinemia) as a condition. If the doctor is unwilling, advise him of your family history. If you have any diabetics, then he should want to rule you out as being a pre-diabetic causing your current symptoms.

For more information about symptoms that might be due to blood sugar imbalances, you may want to check the symptoms link at www.hufa.org.

It sounds more like panic attacks or anxiety instead of depression......but please do go see a doctor. I suffer from both and if I hadn't seen a doctor I might have really lost it. And I feel so much better.
