1.The Exorcist 1973 film.
2.Alien
3. SAW
4. Dog Soldiers
5. The Descent ( in theaters now) same director of Dog Soldiers.
6.Shaun of the Dead ( really funny but scary too)
7. 28 Days Later.
8.SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE ( one of my favorite it's hilarious) try watching the original 1922 film Nosferatu the actor really thought he was a vampire.
9. Mimic
10. The Hills Have Eyes ( it has it's moments " that poor little baby)

Scariest depends on who you ask, but if you were to go by classics I would go with Pyscho.
