When I was in Germany (as a tourist) and bought a large
pear at the outdoor fruit market. It was the sweetest, juiciest
pear I've ever eaten.....have never had one like it since. I would
be a "pearaholic" if all pears tasted like theirs. Grocery
pears are always hard with tough skins.

When we had the recent heat wave I was so thirsty whilst out on a walk . No place to get a drink, I spotted a fruit and veg shop, I went in and bought 3 large ripe ,juicy pears. I walked down the road eating them juice dripping from my chin. They were the sweetest, juiciest thing I can remember. MMMMMMMMMM could eat them again now.

Absolutely the mango. Closest thing to it is the sweetest peach you've ever had...but better. The consistency is very smooth. If there is such a thing as a "sexy" fruit, the mango is it. The best place to find them is in a farmers' market, but you can find them in good grocery stores.
